What Would Happen If...

What would happen if political correctness became unpopular and people said what they really thought?

What would happen if racism only inspired images of white supremacists, Klu Klux Klan and Black Panthers and NOT every nuance under the sun?  And people just stopped being so sensitive and blaming skin color for every societal problem.

What would happen if news organizatons actually just gave the news without trying to persuade the public’s opinion.

What would happen if we ended the war on drugs and only prosecuted those who infringed on other's rights?

What would happen if we no longer had winner take all Electoral College methods used for tallying state elector votes?

What would happen if the US Supreme. Court could only comment on the constitutionality of cases and Congress would decide whether it was constitutional?

What would happen if gay rights had no effect on Christian families or institutions and the laws only affect the tax benefits? Would Christians no longer feel threatened?

What would happen if State Senators were elected by the State Legistlation as it was before the 17th Amendment and lobbying was illegal and there were term limits?

What would happen if we made education completely controlled by the state and community with no federal government involvement?

What would happen if we just told all Social Security recipients that we will pay back what they put in and end the panzi scheme for good?

What would happen if we brought all the troops home from Afghanistan and used the money to secure the borders?

What would happen if violent crime were punished in such a way that the offender would shudder at the  thought of ever doing it?

What would happen if non-profit status only applied to charitable organizations and churches?

What would happen if all federal regulations were dissolved and businesses were simply accountable to their employees and patrons for any wrong doing?

What would happen if Government completely kept their nose out of all healthcare issues and people could make their own decisions?

What would happen if the US Treasury started to print Treasury Notes and the Federal Reserve was concluded to be unconstitutional?  And we no longer borrowed money from other countries to fund our debt?

If all the above were to occur how would it effect America?  Would we be better off having made those changes or kicking the can further down the road?

  1. I LOVE ALL OF THESE SUGGESTIONS AND WONDER HOW WE COULD IMPLEMENT THEM???

  2. It would take a complete reversal of the train of thought most Americans have today. Even with a charismatic leader, to sell it to the American people who are so comfortable with their government entitlements and liberal idealogies, I can't see it happening. Ron Paul couldn't sell his ideas concerning foreign affairs and that cost him, but he still couldn't be taken serious by the mainstream. I'm afraid the country will break up before the healing can begin.

  3. Politicial Correctness was generated in the early 1900's as a means to undermine America. http://www.ourcivilisation.com/pc.htm

Honesty would need to prevail in the news medias, instead of the yellow journalism that prevails in todays major media. They are creating the news instead of reporting it!

The war on drugs benefits the dealers/drug lords, etc. way more than it benefits the American people.

I agree, the Electoral Votes should be distributed evenly/equiably to all the candidates repectively.

Again PC is becoming very evident in the Supreme Court. Their sole responsibility is to ascertain if the Laws passed by Congress are within the Constitutional bounds. Their's is not to make laws!

That would be nice if the homosexuals would leave it at that, BUT they want schools and even preschoolers to teach that homosexuality is a viable life style, which it is not!

I agree with the frist two suggestions, but term limits I do not agree with relative to Reps and Sens, for the President, yes. What happens when you elect a very good candidate and he or she serves well, do you throw them out because of their term limits are reached?

An oversight by the Federal Gov't is useful to insure a quality education and quality teachers, AND to ensure that American History is taught, not multiculturalism, as is being taught now. The Pledge of Allegience and Prayer is done in the schools. Everything else would be in state and community hands.

Social Security, etc. needs to be taken out of the General funding that happened during Pres. Johnson's administration.

I agree with bringing our Armed forces home . . but also NOT replacing them with private contractors at the taxpayers expense. The Private contractors charge ~6 figures per person and our gov't pays them to replace our troops.

Public executions were a GREAT deterent to those considering leading a life of crime in the past. Also things like charging the MAN who solicits prostitutes as well as the prostitutes, and have that reported in the daily news casts/papers.

Federal regulations should only be applicable to wrong doing of a company, not necessarily telling one how to run their business.

Healthcare is an individuals responsibility, not the Gov'ts.

The law that allowed the Federal Reserve should be made null and void, and Congress should be the one responsible for the American Currency as outlined in the Constitution, it is their RESPONSIBILITY, and should NOT be given over to a private organization! AS it is now, we pay the FED to print our money, AND then we buy it from them at interest, so essentially they are double dipping and charging us interest in addition! That is why we are in the position we are in today. We don't have the necessary control over our own currency.

BTW, I have really enjoyed reading and looiking at your paintings. My heart is comforted to know that someone can put them into a painting.

    1. Thanks for your thoughts. As far as term limits, I would give up the chance of good Congressmen for for good statesman without the temptation of becoming a career politician. Even Washington saw the danger of this. There shouldn't be any Senators more powerful than others simple because they have been there the longest. Also, concerning the fed. Governtment, they have ruined everything they touch, probably best to get them out of education all together.

  4. Nothing. People already say what they really think... If they have the courage. If you can support your point, do so. No accusations of "political incorrectness" will ever diminish your position if you're on firm ground. But if all you have are complaints about people telling you you're a politically incorrect jackass, you very well might be one.

People don't blame skin color for every societal problem. Life is not black and white and reality is nuanced. Deal with it.

What would happen if a third rate Norman Rockwell Wannabe' stopped trying to persuade the public's opinion. You first, Jon. Practice what you preach.

With you on ending the "War On Drugs," but how do you define "infringing on other's rights"? With a few hundred years worth of common law in practice addressing that very issue, I sincerely doubt you truly understand it.

We'd have the losing side complaining about unequal representation of states and the winning side extolling the virtues of popular votes. Once the outcomes were reversed, we'd see each side adopting the other's position.

We'd see the Supreme court made irrelevant and an essential check on the legislative branch eliminated.

Gay rights already have no effect on Christian families and institutions. They just refuse to acknowledge it.

If Sate Senators were elected by State Legislators we'd have further consolidation of party power. If lobbying was illegal, we'd violate the First Amendment. With you on term limits... How about we change the laws applying to lobbying so as to make it transparent... That would be that whole "nuance" thing.

We'd have wealthy states with educated children and poor states with kids who can barely read. We'd also have opinions and "factoids" in line with local popular opinion taught as if it's reality.

You first need to prove it's a "ponzi" scheme. You haven't, but running with presumptions seems to be what you do, Jon.

Yes, bring the troops back home. Use the money to rebuild infrastructure. This includes border security.

What would happen if you took even introductory courses in criminology, sociology, and psychology? Get back to us when you've done that and let us know if you find one bit of evidence to support your implied belief that criminals will ever "shudder" at the thought of any punishment.

What would happen if non-profit status didn't apply to any organization or institution?

How would that accountability be enforced? The "Market"? You have a lot to learn about marketing, perception management, and how a team of corporate lawyers can reduce your rights to merely symbolic.

Show us where the government is making healthcare decisions for individuals. And while you're at it, show us how it's doing that more so than health insurance companies.

What would happen if you took an introduction to Economics class?

What would happen if all you listed were to occur? People like you who seek to justify their visceral reactions rather than coming to reasoned conclusions would be very happy... Until they started seeing what they had done to themselves and everyone else they dragged along with them.
