Jon McNaughton's Original Drawing GIVEAWAY!

We have a winner!  I want to thank all who participated in our contest for the original drawing of "Head Study of Christ."  I was emotionally moved as I read some of your posts regarding my work and this image.  I certainly have some of the best fans in the world!  I wish I could have given each of you one of my originals.  I plan to continue to give more of my drawings away over the coming weeks, so many of you will have a chance to win.  The winner of the contest is listed below...

(Why did I do this contest?)

A friend of mine suggested that I should give away some of these drawings to people who would really appreciate them.  This is one of the drawings from my personal files and it is a treasure to me.  I figured those who take the time to enter this contest are deserving of the prize.  


NOTE:  We will use a computerized random number picker to choose the winner.  I will do similar contests in the future to give away more original drawings.  I don’t expect huge numbers of people to enter…so your chances may be better than average.  Good luck in the future!

    I am a huge huge fan! "Child of mine", this is my favorite painting you have, being a mother of two young sons, it brings tears to my eyes every time I read the description!
    Keep up the inspirational work, you may have "haters", but look at all the "haters" Jesus had.

    I Love your work Jon~ it has inspired me for years, and look forward to all of your work to come. One of my latest favorites is the one you drew of our countries leaders, One Nation Under God.. very wonderful depiction of what has happened in our country.     Thanks so much for sharing your talents with the world. You have such a gift, not only in the physical expression of it, but also the spiritual one. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to enjoy your work. How do you choose a favorite from so many? One that is special to me though, is your painting of the Logan temple (because that is my temple). Also, because I have the awesome opportunity to work as an ordinance worker there. Thanks so much for your willingness to share with your fans:)

    All of your work is inspiring and it is hard for me to choose. I love The Forgotten Man & the one with Mary at Jesus' feet. The drawing of Jesus is special too. I love so many of your paintings and really love the ones that make me think of what is going on in the world today and especially reading your explanations for everything in your art. I have to say my favorite painting is one that I noticed a lot over the holidays when looking at pictures of nativities. I told my husband that one day I will own a copy of your painting of Christ's birth.. it is my absolute favorite of any I have ever seen. It has a certain peace to it that I absolutely love!     Posted it on FB. The first time I ever saw your art, it was through an email about "One Nation Under God." I forwarded it to a good friend, who immediately ordered a print of it to use as a fund raiser for an art scholarship in my son Duane's memory. Although he never had a chance to go to art school, he was a gifted artist. I love your art work, and know I am going to enjoy your blog.

    Amen to that Jon. I have three of your masterpieces on the walls of my home. "One nation under God," "The forgotten Man," and "I saw the light." I love your work, and everything I would like to say in this life is expressed on the canvases you paint. I consider myself your biggest fan.     I absolutely love your work... you are so gifted. It's hard to choose a favorite, but I love the one entitled "One Nation Under God" - so deep and meaningful. I can't begin to imagine the work and thought that went into that.

    I love your work!! My parents are good friends of the Freemans and really love your work. So because of them I was introduced to your work and also love it!! My husband and I really love the painting of Christ with all the soldiers from different times around him. I believe it is Peace is Coming. My husband is in the National Guard and absolutely fell in love with that painting when we saw it. One day we hope to own it. My husband said when we do buy it, it has to be the really big one!

    My favorite is the 2nd coming picture of the earth on the left and Christ on the right in Red. How you captured Him was dead on what I believed. He is going to rule with "an iron fist" but yet in his eyes you can see that he is a loving brother. LOVE it. Also followed you on this blog!

    PS. Oh! and after my kids asking my husband and me what we wanted for Christmas and hearing "World Peace".....My friend sent me your picture of "World Peace"........ Although...right now....I really love "One Nation Under God", espcialy since the Marine is down front and holding a folded American flag in front of Christ.

    There is artwork that you look at and they are just pictures or paintings and then there is artwork that moves you. Most of what I have seen of your work definitely moves you. One of my favorites is "Walk in the Garden". Thank you for sharing your talent!
